ABC/Disney has sent 100,000 lesson plans to teachers, so the classes can study this propaganda as if it were a documentary. They are running it commercial free DURING SWEEPS. They sent copies to all major Right-wing bloggers, but refused to allow any advance copy to be viewed by any Liberal sites. They are going to run the movie, for free, on the ABC website. They are going to make the whole thing available for free download from their site, so you can make your own DVDs. In some interesting, but possibly unconnected, sidelights:

• Disney constantly has important business in front of the Bush FCC, and is involved in trying to get other regulation removed.
• Rush Limbaugh said one of the film's producers is his close friend, and another does his film work for the Christian fundamentalist wing of the Repugnants.
• If you'll go to Theyrule.net you'll find that Alywin B. Lewis, a Director on Disney's Board, also sits on Halliburton's Board. There is also a board member from Boeing (weapons) and a right wing think tank.

Why might that be important? Well, if one President brought and/or could bring Billion$ to your corporate board's table, or might favor your think tank, kicking his more respected predecessor might seem to be good business? 9/11 Miniseries Is Criticized as Inaccurate and Biased - New York Times By JESSE McKINLEY Published: September 6, 2006 SAN FRANCISCO, Sept. 5 — Days before its scheduled debut, the first major television miniseries about the Sept. 11 attacks was being criticized on Tuesday as biased and inaccurate by bloggers, terrorism experts and a member of the Sept. 11 commission, whose report makes up much of the film’s source material. - - - SNIP In particular, some critics — including Richard A. Clarke, the former counterterrorism czar — questioned a scene that depicts several American military officers on the ground in Afghanistan. In it, the officers, working with leaders of the Northern Alliance, the Afghan rebel group, move in to capture Osama bin Laden, only to allow him to escape after the mission is canceled by Clinton officials in Washington. In a posting on ThinkProgress.org, and in a phone interview, Mr. Clarke said no military personnel or C.I.A. agents were ever in position to capture Mr. bin Laden in Afghanistan, nor did the leader of the Northern Alliance get that near to his camp. “It didn’t happen,” Mr. Clarke said. “There were no troops in Afghanistan about to snatch bin Laden. There were no C.I.A. personnel about to snatch bin Laden.
